Talia Palazzo, the creative force behind Covet&Devour, merges gothic elegance with wellness, crafting a brand as visually stunning as it is ethically conscious. Her darkly indulgent vegan treats and teas transport customers to a world of luxury and health. In this exclusive interview, Talia shares her inspirations, the artistry behind her products, and her vision for Covet&Devour’s future.
I was actually inspired by a trip I took to Riga, Lativa some years back. The cafes that I saw there were nothing like here in the states. The gothic aesthetic and architecture was extremely inspiring to me. I had been creating my own teas and health based vegan treats for years prior and that trip inspired me to finally do something with my passion.
I view my products as an extension of myself, so my aesthetic naturally plays a big role in the brand's identity. If people are drawn to my look, they’ll connect with my treats, which reflect the same vibe of dark beauty and indulgence. I try not to let social media influence me too much. Instead, I focus on what brings me joy in real life, hoping to connect with those who see the world similarly.
I believe in the concept that you eat with your eyes first. I try to always translate that with my products. I’ve frequently heard from customers that, “not only are they almost too pretty to eat but they are also delicious!” That makes my day.
I think it comes naturally because it’s what I live by. I love that others can benefit from it as well. I think that aspect is what keeps me inspired to keep creating.
I like to promote a feeling that I strive to create in my day to day life.. an ambience of coziness, health and beauty. I hope that my customers can use my products to help them create a similar feeling.
I like to show people that vegan and cruelty-free can also be delicious and luxurious. Not to mention, healthy and beneficial for your mind and body!
It seems to have drawn people to my brand but it was never my intention.
I think that my energy draws people to my company and myself. I think that authenticity can be seen from a mile away and I always try to remain as authentic as possible. I hope in that way, I can inspired others to do the same. I want to show others that you can really be and do whatever your heart desires without feeling like you have to fit into a box or subscribe to a certain lifestyle. The point is to create a dream world of your own and that’s exactly what I do with Covet&Devour.
I don’t necessarily look for inspiration, it sort of comes unexpectedly. I tend to follow whatever I’m draw to and the rest is magic! Next on my bucket list is Prague. I’m sure I will draw inspiration from being there based on what I’ve already seen. I look forward to finding cute cafes while I’m there and seeing what they have to offer. I truly love doing this whenever I’m traveling somewhere new.
Thank you. I have new products that will be announced in the upcoming months and I’m working on doing more catering and private events. I love setting up beautiful tables with my treats. I look forward to having more opportunities to do so.
