Authority Reimagined: The Power and Play of Simone Verena

Authority Reimagined: The Power and Play of Simone Verena
By Black Raven | July 11, 2025
Blending past duty with fashion-forward flair, Simone Verena commands attention—and redefines power in style.

Simone Verena is more than just a style influencer—she channels her past as an officer into a new kind of power: one that’s as commanding as it is creative. Once a police officer in Austria, she’s traded her uniform for high-fashion looks that still echo with authority. In this revealing conversation, she opens up about the shift from law enforcement to the lens, blending her past with a playful, commanding aesthetic that continues to captivate and inspire.

You’ve moved from law enforcement to fashion influencing. What inspired that shift, and how has your past in uniform shaped your style?

The decision to leave law enforcement wasn’t easy, but I reached a point where I wanted to explore a side of myself that had long been suppressed—creativity, individuality, and freedom of expression. The uniform taught me discipline and presence, which now show up in my style: structured silhouettes, bold lines, and confident posture.

Your Instagram combines authority with playful edge. How do you create this balance in your images?

It’s about contrast—pairing strength with softness, structure with sensuality. I love taking elements of uniformed authority and reimagining them in a more personal, expressive way. Every post is a mix of confidence and a wink of mischief.

Though you’ve left the police force, your “heart still beats” for it. What aspects of that life remain close to you?

The camaraderie, the sense of duty, and the idea of standing up for others still resonate deeply. I carry that energy into everything I do, even now—it’s less about enforcing rules, and more about owning space with integrity and purpose.

Simone Verena

You’re stunning. When you were Polizei, did crime rates rise from all the people eager to be cuffed and manhandled? :)

Haha, I’ve definitely heard that joke more than once! Let’s just say: some people were surprisingly cooperative during checks—but the uniform has its own kind of charm, and I played by the book.

Simone Verena

Your style challenges gender norms while blending strength and elegance. Was that intentional or just natural?

It’s a bit of both. I never set out with an agenda, but I’ve always felt most myself when I embrace both toughness and vulnerability. Fashion became my language for expressing that balance—and people started responding to it.

Simone Verena

Leaving a structured job for social media is a big leap. What’s surprised you most about that transition?

How much self-management it actually requires! From the outside, it looks like glam and spontaneity—but behind the scenes, there’s strategy, discipline, and constant learning. It’s like running your own creative business.

Simone Verena

Your photos blur the line between authority and fantasy. Do you feel there’s power in that duality, and how do you play with it?

Absolutely. Authority can be intimidating, but when you bring in fantasy, you make it more accessible, even seductive. That tension creates visual stories that spark curiosity. I love giving people something that feels powerful and slightly provocative.

Simone Verena

How do you handle public perception, especially when you’re playing with powerful symbols like the police uniform?

With awareness and respect. I know that uniforms carry real-world weight, so I approach it with intentionality. I use the symbolism to provoke thought—not to mock or diminish it—and to open conversations about identity and transformation.

When you’re creating a shoot, what’s more important to you: the story you’re telling or the mood you’re capturing?

Both go hand in hand, but if I had to choose—mood. Because mood hits first, emotionally. If the energy is strong, people feel it instantly. Then they start to notice the story layered underneath.

Simone Verena

What future projects or directions are you most excited to explore?

I’m currently working on collaborations that blend fashion, empowerment, and storytelling. I’d love to explore more editorial shoots, maybe even design a capsule collection that reflects the uniform-meets-fantasy aesthetic. And I’m always open to where this takes me next.
